The Annual Egungun Festival in Atlanta was attended by Araba of the United States Chief Adedayo Ologundudu

On Sunday the 10th of May 2015.The annual Egungun festival was celebrated at the Ogun and Osun Event hall.For several years Chief Ogunlade have organized and sponsored the event. There was the usual parade of the Egungun of the African American ancestors dating back to the establishment of the Oyotunji Village at the occasion. The occasion was blessed by the Araba of the United States Chief Adedayo Ologundudu and the present king of Oyotunji village HRH Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi 11. At a private meeting Araba Adedayo Ologundudu announced his proposal to instal Chief Ogunlade as the Oluawo of the State of Georgia. Chief Ogunlade already had two Chieftances, one at the Oyotunji village and the other from the Alafin at Oyo in Nigeria. Oluawo is the most senior Babalawo in Georgia . Araba Adedayo Ologundudu said this will be in appreciation of his contribution to the upliftment of the ancient Yoruba culture in his community and in America.
