Yemonja is the goddess of the Ocean. Among the Yorubas, Yemoja was considered the protector of children. She is considered the mother of all children. She is considered a female energy. She is regarded as the provider of life. The priests and priestesses of Yemoja usually wetir white and blue beads. Her favorite color is light blue. Yemoja is very famous among the New Worlds practitioners because of their closeness to the Ocean. Some Oral traditions said she was one of the wives of Oranmiyan and had three sons for him by the names Dada, Sonponno and Sango.
